Chaumette Vineyards and Winery - Ste. Genevieve, Missouri

Last week Bill and I made the drive down to the wine country of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Lately we've been trying to visit all of our favorite and memorable places before The Big Move, and Chaumette is special to us because we stayed there for our six month anniversary. On our previous visit we stayed overnight in the beautiful new villas and had dinner in the restaurant. This time we just went for the wine, but it was beautiful and relaxing, and I love their Norton (Norton is the official state grape of Missouri.) If you make the trip down to Ste. Genevieve, make sure to also check out Charleville Vineyards and Micro Brewery -- their Half Wit Wheat is delicious!
